PaaS and SaaS are acronyms that have been around for a while. SaaS is the more commonly known outside the I.T. world and it is the term used for applications that are provided to the customer via the internet without the need for any dedicated software installations other than perhaps a web browser.

PaaS is similar in that a service is provided via the internet but typically offers much more than a simple application does. Often with the ability for the end user to customise and add features. workQ is one such platform where the end user has the ability to add their own screens, databases and document templates to the existing entities and then view and modify the data using the workQ Central SaaS application. Access to the platform is provided via an API allowing the end user to merge the platform offerings into new or existing systems.
