Mokom has completed many software projects for customers and developed its own product suite called workQ. We have the proven commercial capability of taking a product suite to market which involves skills over and above the standard custom software development life cycle.

Development and Delivery Model

Knowing the client and understanding your requirements is the single most important aspect of the development cycle. After our initial meeting we ask you to fill in a design document which is useful for us to fully understand your objectives:

Our development process is based on what is known as "Agile Development" and comprises the following steps:

• Inital meeting to chat about the scope and concept.
• You fill in our requirements template.
• We meet again to flesh out the details.
• We cost the project and provide an estimate or fixed price quote.
• Produce proof of concept and high level design and screen mock ups.
• Your approval.
• Produce project plan comprising roughly 30 day deliverables.
• Production and review.

The concept is simple: Get something for the client to test as soon as possible. As developers we can usually visualise what the end result of project will look like. Non-technical audiences, however understandably find this more difficult. If the client is able to provide feedback in the early stages we can get back on the right track quickly if we're not already on it and adapt to change more readily. This has the additional benefit of cutting down on lengthy and expensive documentation.

In keeping with the Scrum ideal we are a low technical documentation organisation. We only provide as much documentation as is required but what we do provide will be updated regularly and be of a high quality. We also maintain a very high level of communication with our clients and nurture relationships which is invaluable when delivering quality products on time that meet with the client’s expectations. We tend to have long term business relationships and this is due solely to the level of satisfaction that we provide.
